Using motion sensors to pick up body movements by the user it provides what would be live entertainment for the person playing a particular game. Other systems like RGB Camaras (RGB is acronym for Red, Blue, Green), motion capture, facial and voice recognition, allows the game to not only be customizable for each user but also makes it more varied and user friendly.
I think that Microsoft staff are geniuses for taking this next step in the stationary console world. I believe that this new interactive game will provide gamers a more active day just by playing a fighting or sports game because in order to play and succeed you must move around and interact. I would definitely buy this because when consoles like the Wii came out I found it interesting the whole interaction with the remotes but i did not feel that it was sufficient interaction, especially with games that involved jumping or other movements that the remote would have trouble with.
What benefits would this type of hardware bring to the home of the user in comparison to other consoles? Would you buy it? Why or why not?
before this vedio i was totally agaisnt online gaming and video games, but with this XBOX and its technology i think that instead of isolating people, they would come together and play in one place, and also they do exercise as they have to do everything with real movements. so it has changed my way of looking at video games.
ReplyDeleteI think that this type of hardware will bring many benefits to families since this new technology seems very fun and interesting, it could bring families and friends to get together and play, because in comparison to other consoles this new interactive game looks very real and with a great resolution and it keeps players in constant movement which it doesn't make it boring as other consoles. On the hand, it could be a problem in a long-term because this innovation could distract people from their studies or work, as they could get addicted.
ReplyDeleteI found this video pretty interesting. I agree with Machado about how people can play together in one room instead of being in one person playing. Unlike Wii, it doesn't have consoles and this hardware have the sensors to scan the item each player want. As I read what Mariely said, the disadvantage(s) about this hardware is that it can distract studies, get game addicted, and 'be stuck' at home. For example, you can connect and share with your friends online rather than go out to window shop.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the technology is really astounding I am not sure if I would really buy it. From what I've seen in the videos, there seems to be a little of a time lag. Now I do not know if this issue will be solved when it comes out next year, but the time lag, even though it is really small, can affect the experience of an entire game. Especially games that require a lot of action, and as a gamer myself I know how important is the timing when playing these types of games. With the time lag, then it would just ruin the timing and make the game boring. Also another problem that I don't know how Microsoft will deal with is the recognition of the moving person. What if you are playing a 1-player game, when suddenly someone passes in front of the motion sensor, will it realize that there's a completely different person walking in front of the player? And how will it affect the game? These are the questions that I would like to hear an answer for. Otherwise, I think that gaming technology has gone beyond what I can imagine.
